WHAT IS THE SCHEME

This webpage explains how athletes registered with their affiliated clubs under Isle of Man Athletics can access and use the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Supported Sport Scheme for off-island competition travel.

The Supported Sport Scheme is designed to reduce travel costs for Isle of Man based athletes who regularly compete off-island.

If approved, athletes receive:

  • Discounted ferry travel rates for competition-related trips
  • Support for multiple return journeys across a calendar year
WHO IS ELIGIBLE

You are eligible if you:

  • Affiliated to an Isle of Man Athletics club
  • Are competing at club, regional, national, or international level competitions
  • Recreational travel or training-only trips are not covered
HOW TO APPLY

Step 1 – Download the Supported Sports Booking Form

  • Fill out the form, and email it to iom.reservations@steam-packet.com or present the form in person at the Sea Terminal Ferry Travel Shop.
  • You will need to do this before every individual trip.

Step 2 – Submit the Application

  • Submit the form via email or in person
  • Keep a copy of your confirmation email

All applications are reviewed by the Steam Packet team.
